Gas mileage of a 04 nissan titan with my driving style?
What I hear these trucks dont get the 14 EPA I read from the specs but reviews I read people get more like 12-13 and some even as low a 8mpg!! I want a truck and really like these and the 14mpg is affordable but having it at 10 would be awful. I drive very conserved rarely having my rpm’s over 2500. Would I get the EPA of 14 or lower? also does a K&N airfilter really add mileage? if so how much? and tonneau covers claim to help gas mileage by 10% the one I want comes with one is this 10% valid? The titan I am talking about is a 2004 Crew 5.6. The way I see it is if I get the 14 and the tonneau adds 10% that would be 15.4 and then 1 or 2 mpg with a K&N would be 16.4-17.4 MPG city but not sure if this is realistic. thanks if you can answer all of my questions
I have an 08 and drive just slightly harder than you I try not to exceed 3000 and I get upper 13s. The bed cover mileage boost is a joke I have a canvas on mine and it does not make any diff whatsoever if its rolled up or covered. I also have a k&n drop in filter and don’t think that did much either didn’t see anything with the magnaflow either although yours might cause the exhaust is designed different. On the highway I can get close to 18mpg at 70 mph but never actually saw that on the computer which is very close accurate. I absolutely love the truck otherwise and I would give a little more in gas for the truck. I’ve heard from other guys also that you just can’t do much for the gas mileage on the titan
